Company Profile
Originally incorporated as Executone of Albany in 1972, the products sold and
serviced at that time included industrial intercom systems, paging, health care
and school communications systems. The marketing of business telephone
systems began in the mid-1970's with key telephone equipment from Executone.
In the late 70's and early 80's the business grew to include sales of larger
PBX systems and in 1986 Northeast was asked by Exeutone to expand their
geographic coverage to include Vermont. In 1987, Nortel Networks, the
leader in digital telephony, offered the company the opportunity to market its
full line of digital telephone systems.
In 1989, after realizing great success with Nortel Networks systems,
Northeast Information Systems changed the name of the corporation from Executone
of Albany and Executone of Green Mountain to Northeast Information Systems to
better reflect their broader product line and computer telephony focus.
Today, Northeast Information Systems is a full service telecommunications
company with an
outstanding line of products.
These products include the Axxess and Eclipse systems
from Inter-tel and the Norstar, BCM (Business Communications Manager) and the
Meridian 1 Communications Systems from Nortel Networks. All of these
systems may be equipped with automated attendant, voice mail, automatic call
distribution, digital trunking, call accounting and IP technology.
